Laphroaig 10 Years Old Islay Malt (70%)

At 70% this is one of the strangest 10s Laphroaig ever released, bottled at a strength close to new-make and far above any normal cask strength. A rare old collectable that pushes the flagship to an extreme.

The spirit is the standard 10 underneath: ten years in ex-Bourbon, heavily peated malt from the distillery near Port Ellen.

At 70% the guaiacol and phenols are concentrated to a fierce medicinal intensity, the vanilla all but overwhelmed. A bottle for the curious and the collector.
