Description

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society grew from a 1978 cask-sharing syndicate into the club founded in 1983 at The Vaults in Leith. The cask was filled in 2010 and bottled in 2020, a 10 year old Laphroaig, from cask 29.284. in the Let us go Dutch range.

Ex-Bourbon and ten years round Laphroaig's coastal, medicinal character.

At 62.2%, undiluted, with bourbon-cask vanilla underneath. Tarry smoke and sea-salt, unmistakably south-shore Islay.
