Description
This extra dry Prosecco carries the Lamborghini name, from the estate founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini between Lake Trasimeno and the village of Panicale in Umbria, later developed by Patrizia Lamborghini. It is built on the Glera grape and made by the tank method, where the second fermentation runs in sealed pressurised tanks to keep the fruit fresh and give a fine, creamy bead. The extra dry finish leaves a touch more perceptible fruit sweetness than a brut.
The wine is light straw yellow with silver highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose shows white pear, apple and citrus fruit with a floral lift. The palate is fresh and balanced, with gentle fruit sweetness, lively acidity and a soft, mineral finish. Serve well chilled at 5 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass. It is a good aperitif and pairs well with scallops, grilled sea bass, finger food and lighter fruit desserts such as lemon tart.
