Description
This brut spumante carries the Lamborghini name and is sourced from the Treviso area, made from Chardonnay and Pinot from selected vintages. It is produced by the Martinotti Lungo method, an extended form of the tank method where the wine spends longer in contact with its lees under pressure. That approach gives a finer mousse and a little more structure and complexity than a standard tank fizz, while keeping the fruit fresh. It is finished dry in the brut style.
The wine is light gold with a fine, lively perlage. The nose shows green apple, ripe citrus and white peach with a floral edge. The palate is dry, clear and harmonious, with refreshing acidity, a delicate texture and a clean, mineral finish. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a white wine glass. It works as an aperitif and pairs well with fine antipasti, scallops, grilled fish and lighter dishes built around citrus.
