Lagavulin 12 Years Old (Special Releases 2020)

The cask strength 12 Years Old appeared as the 2020 Special Release, matured in American oak. Founded in 1816, the distillery sits on Islay's southern shore at Lagavulin Bay.

The peated spirit is distilled slowly, the still shape adding weight. Bottled undiluted after twelve years in American oak, it offers a vivid coastal smoke.

Bottled undiluted at 56.4%. Peat phenols and guaiacol carry the smoke, the oak adding vanilla. Expect a medicinal edge, new wood, smoke, vanilla, a malt extract note and citrus. A cask strength Special Release.
