The JR80 is J. Rose's first limited edition, created to mark the eightieth birthday of the Italian artist Milo Manara, whose sensual imagery shapes the iconic blue bottle, complete with eighty motifs for each year of his life and an LED-lit base. Inside, the gin stays true to the house line: a classic Italian London Dry built on nine plant essences, with prickly pear flower playing an unusually prominent part alongside the juniper structure.

The nose is juniper, soft florals, fine herbs and a subtle freshness. The palate is clearly structured and juniper-accented, with floral notes and a delicate spice held in elegant balance, closing long, dry, floral and harmonious. Pour it over a restrained tonic that leaves the florals room to breathe, garnished with citrus zest or a sprig of fresh herb.
