InchDairnie 7 Years Old 2017 Cask #827 (Jack Wiebers Whisky World)

This is InchDairnie's own unpeated single malt, bottled independently by Jack Wiebers Whisky World rather than under one of the distillery's trade names. It was distilled in 2017 and bottled at 7 years old, in the Brexitman series. This single cask, number 827, yielded 165 bottles, released for Europe.

InchDairnie was built in 2015 by Ian Palmer to chase flavour through unusual equipment, milling its cereals on a hammer mill and mashing on a Meura filter rather than a traditional tun. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.8%, without dilution, the ex-Bourbon wood gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for a light toffee sweetness. The spirit is clean and youthful, citrus and cereal sitting under the wood.
