Description
A cream liqueur from Heindl, an Austrian confectionery, translating the classic Austrian Punschkrapfen pastry into liquid form with a creamy texture. As a dairy cream emulsion it carries the soft, sweet body of the style, and at 15% it sits at the gentle end of the range. The Punschkrapfen theme, all rum punch spice and pink sweetness, gives it a distinctive identity among cream liqueurs and a clear festive pairing logic for a back bar.
The nose is intense chocolate and vanilla with a hint of cinnamon, the palate full bodied and creamy with the classic punch doughnut flavour, a pleasant sweetness and fine cinnamon and clove spice, finishing smooth and long with a soft creamy texture. In a drink it adds creamy body, sweetness and warm baking spice, so it works in a spiced Mudslide, a dessert Espresso Martini or simply over ice, and pairs with dark chocolate, truffles or pralines.
