A chocolate and chestnut liqueur from Heindl, an Austrian confectionery known for its chocolate and chestnut work, built on a combination of cocoa beans and aromatic chestnuts. The chestnut element sets it apart from a plain chocolate liqueur, bringing a nutty, autumnal note alongside the cocoa. At 15% it sits at the soft, sweet end of the range, with a delicate texture aimed at dessert and digestif service rather than hard mixing.

The nose is fine cocoa with the nutty sweetness of chestnut and a hint of vanilla, the palate creamy and full bodied with intense chocolate, gently roasted chestnut and a subtle caramel sweetness, finishing long and soft on chocolate and chestnut. In a drink it adds chocolate body, a roasted nut sweetness and dark colour, so it deepens a chocolate Martini, an Alexander style cocktail or a dessert White Russian and refines chocolate cake, tiramisu or ice cream. It is an ideal companion to espresso or latte. Serve on its own or over ice, well chilled.
