Description
The Original Blend is the entry point to the Ha'Penny range from Pearse Lyons, the Dublin distillery in the former church of St James, with branding drawn from the cast iron footbridge over the Liffey. Bottled in 2019 at 40% for the European market, it is a no age statement blend built for easy drinking.
Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks handle the maturation in the classic Irish pairing. Soft toffee and vanilla from the American oak meet gentle dried fruit from the sherry wood, over the light, creamy grain character typical of the style. It suits a glass with ice or a highball as naturally as it does a neat pour.
