The firm favours direct cask selection from working merchant stocks rather than running sustained cask programmes, presenting bottles at natural strength without chill filtration. This Glenrothes 10 Years Old was filled in 2014, bottled in 2025 at 56.4%, and selected as cask C25123 with 167 bottles destined for European markets.

A decade in a bourbon hogshead develops the classic American oak signature: vanillin and syringaldehyde from gradual lignin breakdown, lactones producing coconut and creamy oak, and ellagitannins building structure without the heavier tannic load European oak would deliver. At ten years Glenrothes' Speyside ester profile remains clearly present beneath the cask layer, with the spirit's natural body still leading rather than being subsumed by wood influence.

On the nose, honeyed barley sits alongside white peach, dried apple and faint icing sugar, with vanilla pod underneath. The palate develops cooked pear, lemon curd and a coconut milk note from active lactones, the 56.4% strength giving the cask room without scorching the spirit. The finish runs medium long with a clean oak grip, suggesting the cask handed off without depleting itself.
