A 30 year old Glen Keith from the Pitlochry bottler Signatory Vintage, distilled in 1991, from cask 73658, bottled at 50.2%, one of 175 bottles. Glen Keith is a Speyside single malt known for a light, sweet, fruity character. It sits within sight of Strathisla, the oldest distillery in Scotland.

Run through the tall stills on Balloch Hill water for a light make, for the light, fruity make Glen Keith is known for. Maturation came in ex-Bourbon wood, the oak quiet behind the light spirit. In its ethereal years the malt is waxy and oxidative, faded esters and a touch of sotolon (maple, dried fig). The cool Speyside air gives a slow, even maturation in the Glen Keith warehouses. Its make went largely into the Chivas Regal, Passport and 100 Pipers blends. It was mothballed in 1999 and revived by Pernod Ricard in 2013 after a full refit.

Bottled at a cask strength 50.2%, it is rich. Baked apple, citrus and a creamy vanilla, with a soft vanilla from the oak. Soft orchard fruit and a clean malt sit behind the cask. The finish runs light, fruity and clean. This is a light Speyside single malt from the town of Keith.
