Galliano L’Autentico

Galliano L'Autentico is an Italian liqueur first made in Livorno in 1896, recognised by its tall, slim bottle and bright golden yellow colour, and bottled at 42.3%. The recipe blends more than thirty herbs, plants and spices, including star anise, juniper, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla and Mediterranean herbs, the makeup that gives Galliano its aromatic depth of vanilla and anise. It is the original expression of a house that has been an eye catcher on back bars for decades.

The nose is complex with herbs, vanilla, aniseed, cinnamon and fine spice, the palate sweet, aromatic and balanced with vanilla, aniseed, herbs and subtle spice, finishing long, spicy and velvety with a fine sweetness. Behind the bar it brings aromatic vanilla and anise sweetness, which is why it is the float in a Harvey Wallbanger, built with vodka and orange juice, and the heart of a Golden Cadillac with creme de cacao and cream. Serve it neat or over ice as a digestif, or reach for it wherever a vanilla and anise lift is wanted.
