This curiosity comes from Dutch Windmill Spirits in the Netherlands, marrying traditional gin-making with the unmistakable flavour of the hemp plant. The spirit is infused with Cannabis Sativa purely for its character, and carries no THC or psychoactive content, so what you get is the herb's distinctive green, grassy note rather than anything more. It is a gin built for the adventurous drinker.
The nose is led by juniper, with subtle hemp and a hint of herbs beneath. The palate balances classic gin botanicals against that distinctive hemp note, rounded out by vanilla sweetness and spicy cardamom, before a long, mild, gently herbal finish. Bottled at 40%, it is best served on the rocks to let the hemp character speak, or in a botanical-forward G&T.
