Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2020, this Causeway Collection release represents the most mature and weight driven interpretation of Marsala cask influence within the series.

Initial maturation in oloroso sherry butts and ex bourbon barrels laid a foundation of dried fruit richness, vanilla sweetness, and settled oak. An extended period in Sicilian Marsala wine casks then amplified depth and texture. Marsala, a fortified wine traditionally developed for long oxidative ageing, contributes concentrated sugars and dark fruit character that build viscosity and complexity over time.

The profile shows dense notes of raisin, fig, sultana, and brown sugar, supported by honeycomb sweetness and gentle spice. On the palate, caramelised sugars, coffee with milk, and dark chocolate emerge, carried by the elevated strength and long maturation. The finish is composed and persistent, shaped by dried fruit and warm spice.
