Arran 24 Years Old 1997 The Vintage Series (Vintage Bottlers)

Vintage Bottlers operates as an independent bottler with a focus on long matured single malt releases, presenting their selections under The Vintage Series banner with consistent label design across the programme. The 1997 vintage at Arran captures the distillery's third full production year, with twenty four years of maturation placing this release within the upper age band of typical commercial Arran indie releases. Bottled in 2022 for European specialist retail distribution.

Spirit was distilled at Lochranza in 1997 and matured twenty four years in Oloroso casks before being selected by Vintage Bottlers for The Vintage Series release. Bottled in 2022 at 51.6% without chill filtration and without added colour, with the 235 bottle outturn reflecting the working yield at twenty four years.

Twenty four years of Oloroso cask maturation produces deep cask integration, with the sherry compound layer of sotolon, furfural, syringaldehyde and developed oxidised polyphenols well integrated against the underlying Arran spirit signature. The flavour profile of chocolate, citric, cooked fruit, cooked mash, cooked vegetable and dried fruit captures the wide aromatic range that long aged Oloroso single casks develop through extended oxidative maturation.
