Description
Adam-Lieleg is a family winery in Styria, and Lilly is its rosé secco, a semi-sparkling wine made for summer drinking. The blend brings together Zweigelt, the Schilcher grape Blauer Wildbacher and the aromatic Isabella, giving a fruit-forward, red-berried character with plenty of freshness. This is a tank-fresh, primary style rather than a bottle-aged wine, with a light and continuous bead. Named as a tribute to the winemaker's mother, it is built for easy, uncomplicated enjoyment.
The colour is a delicate rosé with a fine, lively perlage. The nose shows wild strawberry with a fine citrus edge. The palate is fruity and refreshing, with wild strawberry and blackberry carried by a continuous, gentle effervescence, closing on a fresh, fruity finish. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a flute or tulip glass. It makes a summer aperitif and pairs with light starters, summer salads and Mediterranean snacks, and its fruit carries into berry desserts.
