Kultu Ginja in a wooden crate is a traditional Portuguese cherry liqueur from Aromas Da Tarde, made to a classic recipe from carefully selected sour ginja cherries and bottled at 18%. The cherries are soaked in alcohol for several months to naturally extract their flavour and colour, giving a full bodied, fruity liqueur with a natural sweetness. That long maceration of whole sour cherries embodies the long history of Portugal's famous ginja liqueurs.

The nose is an intense cherry aroma with fine almond and spice notes, the palate fruity and sweet with full bodied sour cherry, subtle bitter almond and cinnamon, finishing long and soft with a pleasant fruit acidity and gentle spice. Behind the bar it brings cherry fruit, sweetness and a fine acidity, which makes it a natural in a Ginja Sour or a fruity note in a classic Manhattan style drink. It is traditionally enjoyed neat, ideally slightly chilled or over ice, and works well as a digestif. Serve it cold to show the cherry and acidity.
