Berentzen Wildkirsche Likör

Berentzen Wildkirsche is a cherry liqueur from the Berentzen Group at Haselunne in Lower Saxony, one of Germany's best known spirits producers, distilling since 1758. It joins the sweet and tart flavour of fully ripe wild cherries to the mild, harmonious base of the range, bottled at 16%. In the traditional cherry liqueur style the fruit carries a natural almond and kernel undertone.

The nose is an intense wild cherry aroma with a subtle almond note and a fine sweetness, the palate soft and full bodied with ripe cherries, a harmonious sweetness and a fresh acidity, the finish long, fruity and slightly tart with a cherry stone and almond edge. Behind the bar cherry brings fruit flavour, body and a deep colour, and a tart edge that balances sweetness. It pairs well with sparkling wine or Prosecco for a cherry spritz, lifts a fruit forward sour, and pours neat over ice. Serve it well chilled.
