Salty sea air and soft floral notes meet a Rioja-cask sweetness in this Navy-strength Donegal gin, with candied peel and fresh blackberry threading through. Five locally harvested seaweeds build its umami depth before a rest in Spanish wine barrels turns it rose gold. Long and warm, with orange lingering at full 57% strength.

Description
An Dúlamán comes from Sliabh Liag Distillers on the Donegal coast, and this Santa Ana expression is named for a Spanish Armada ship wrecked off Loughros Mor in 1588. Five seaweeds, hand-harvested along that same shoreline, sit at its heart alongside six further botanicals, giving the gin its distinctive maritime umami. After distillation it rests in Rioja casks from the homeland of the Santa Ana's commander, a maturation that lends an elegant rose-gold hue and a subtle sweetness. Each batch is sealed in wax and numbered to the phases of the moon.
The nose is soft and floral, salt-sea aromas rolling in with spice and a touch of liquorice. The palate brings a light orange-Madeira sweetness, candied peel and fresh blackberry, the cask and the coast in conversation. It finishes long and warm, orange flavours holding on at a bracing 57%. Pour it into a Navy-strength G&T with a Mediterranean tonic and an orange twist, where its salinity and sweetness both have room to show.
