Description
Tamboo is a spiced spirit drink built on TDL rum, from Trinidad Distillers Limited within the Angostura group. As a spiced spirit rather than a straight aged rum, it is openly a flavoured product, leaning on warming baking spices over a molasses base, and it is honest about being a mixer first.
The profile is unapologetically festive: cinnamon, allspice and a tea-like note on the nose, then cinnamon, clove and wintery spice on the palate, finishing sweet and spicy with molasses and vanilla. At 40% it is light and easy, smelling like a fresh cinnamon roll, and it really comes alive stirred into cola for a Cuba Libre, mixed with cocoa, or built into fruity cocktails.
