This Tribute Distiller's Cut comes straight from Trinidad Distillers Limited, the column still house within the Angostura group and the living face of Trinidad rum. Bottled without an age statement, it sits in the island's light, fragrant Spanish-heritage idiom, then dials up the character with a firmer strength and a distinctly herbal personality.

Distilled clean and high from Trinidadian molasses on the column still, it shows the soft, aromatic base the house is known for, here pushed toward fresh mint, crisp apple, citrus and herbs over a gentle frame of wood and spice. The aroma carries apple, wood and leather, the palate turns minty and herbal with tobacco and a peppery edge, and the finish stays fresh and spiced. At 44.7% it reads as approachable yet more intense than a standard pour, a fragrant, dry-leaning Trinidad rum with plenty of detail for the price.
