Description
PTI Lakaz is a Takamaka blend from Trois Freres Distillery on the Seychelles, marrying cane-juice rum aged in port and French oak with molasses rum matured in ex-bourbon casks, the eldest components around 5.5 years. Bottled at 45.1 percent, it aims for flavour without sacrificing easy drinkability.
The nose opens on toasted oak, dried apricot and cocoa with toffee and sweet spice, while the palate carries vanilla, caramel and tropical fruit over a light tobacco note and gentle wood, finishing toasted with a touch of coconut. The blend of bases gives it a tropical lift without heavy funk or high-proof heat, landing close to softer Barbados-style territory.
