A distillery bottling of Tullibardine, aged 18 year old and bottled at 43%. Built in 1949 in Blackford, on the edge of the Highlands, Tullibardine is a soft, honeyed Highland malt. It stands on a site with five hundred years of brewing; King James IV bought ale at Blackford in 1488.

It was drawn off copper pot stills fed by the Danny Burn, for a soft, vanilla scented spirit. A sherry cask wrapped the soft spirit in dried fruit and a nutty depth. By this age the soft spirit rounds into honeyed fruit and a gentle oak. The cool Highland climate gives a slow, even maturation over the years. After lean years and a long silence, private investors brought the distillery back to life in 2003. Picard is a Burgundy wine family, and their casks come from vineyards across France. The name comes from the Gaelic for lookout hill, after a hill once used to watch for strangers.

Bottled at 43%, it is rounded. The Oloroso brings dried fruit, fig and a nutty depth, and a gentle vanilla from the wood, with pear, honey and a malty note. The texture is soft and round, the fruit lifted by honey. The finish runs gentle, fruity and mellow. This is Tullibardine's fruity Highland style.
