This official Longrow single malt and bottled at 46%. Springbank is a Campbeltown distillery distilling since 1828, run much as it was a century ago. The cult around Springbank has made it one of the most collected of all malts.

It was double distilled from heavily peated, floor malted barley, then condensed through worm tubs. Ex-Bourbon casks held the spirit, soft oak that lets the make lead. With no age statement, it shows the rich, oily Campbeltown body in full. Years in oak deepen the fruit and the maritime character together. The spirit is filled to cask and matured within the distillery walls. Few distilleries keep so much of the old craft alive under one roof. Campbeltown was once the whisky capital of the world, with more than thirty distilleries at its peak. Today just three distilleries survive in the old Kintyre whisky town. The maritime warehouses by the sea lend the malt its briny, oily depth.

At 46% it is soft, oily and coastal. A vanilla and toffee sweetness from the cask underpins a coastal peat smoke with a briny depth. A coastal salt and an orchard fruit lift it. A long, oily, coastal finish lingers. This is a robust, smoky Campbeltown whisky.
