From James Eadie's Small Batch range, this 10 Year Old is a 2009 vintage from ex-Bourbon casks 701556 and 701562, a release of 576 bottles. Miltonduff, the fresh, floral Speyside distilled beside Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin and long bound for the Ballantine's blend.
Ten years in ex-Bourbon let oak and spirit knit, vanilla and honey from lignin and wood sugars settling into the grassy, floral make.
At 46% it shows orchard fruit, pear and vanilla. A Small Batch 10.
