Description

The 12 Year Old is Loch Lomond's signature single malt, and the Perfectly Balanced name is the brief: spirit drawn from both the straight-neck Lomond stills and the traditional swan necks, married for poise rather than any single trait.

Twelve years across three types of American oak, Bourbon, refill and re-charred, build the balance, the fresh char of the re-charred wood deepening the toffee and spice.

At 46% it shows citrus, vanilla and honey over a malty core, with fresh fruit and a soft wood smoke, hemicellulose in the oak caramelising to that light toffee. The distillery's calling card.
