Description
Inchmurrin is Loch Lomond's lightest, most floral malt, named for the largest island in the loch and distilled only in the distillery's straight-neck Lomond stills. Their rectifying plates take a high, clean cut, and a fruit-forward yeast and long fermentation feed the esters that make it so fruity.
Twelve years in ex-Bourbon keep that brightness, the low-tannin American oak lending vanilla without weighing the spirit down.
At 46% it shows intense orchard fruit and honey with a leafy lift and an oily texture, a wisp of smoke at the edge, the esters reading as peach and pear. The fruitiest face of Loch Lomond.
