The Scotch Malt Whisky Society has bottled single casks under code numbers since its 1983 founding in Leith. The cask was filled in 1989 and bottled in 2016, a 27 year old Linkwood, from cask 39.140, from the An intricate finesse range.

Twenty-seven years in the bourbon cask polish the refined, floral character.

At its natural 49.3%, the bourbon cask lends vanilla and light spice. A clean, honeyed Speyside, orchard fruit throughout.
