Description

Ian Macleod Distillers, the family firm behind Glengoyne and Tamdhu, bottles single casks under its Chieftain's and Dun Bheagan labels. Distilled in 1997, this 15 year old Linkwood, from cask 94221, was bottled in 2013, part of the Chieftain's Limited Edition Collection series.

Fifteen years in Pinot Noir let the oak work on Linkwood's light, floral Speyside spirit.

Bottled at 44.6%, the American oak lends vanilla and a light spice. Green apple, hay and a soft vanilla sweetness carry it.
