Linkwood 40 Years Old 1970 Cask #818 (G&M)

Gordon & MacPhail laid down casks for decades from its Elgin shop, and is now a distiller in its own right. A 40 year old Linkwood, from cask 818, this was distilled in 1970 and bottled in 2010, part of the Celtic Series.

A bourbon barrel and forty years settle the clean, floral house style.

Bottled at 43.5%, vanilla and light oak come from the bourbon cask. On the palate, chocolate, citrus.
