The red-wine member of the 1981 trio in Diageo's 2008 Special Releases, a cask strength bottling of 1,260 bottles. Each of the three took a different finish; this one a red-wine cask.

Twenty-six years and a red-wine finish lend berry fruit and a drying tannic edge to Linkwood's light, floral Speyside character.

At 55.5% the wine cask brings berry fruit over orchard fruit and honey, with a yeasty note. A red-wine-finished Special Releases Linkwood.
