Description

The Vintage Malt Whisky Company is a Glasgow independent behind the Finlaggan and Cooper's Choice lines. A 16 year old Williamson, from cask 9018, this was distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2021. in The Cooper's Choice range. Williamson means teaspooned Laphroaig, a cask given a token measure of another malt so the distillery name is off-limits and the label says blended malt. It remembers Bessie Williamson, Laphroaig's owner from 1954.

Matured in ex-Bourbon, sixteen years carry the heavily peated make.

At its natural 51%, vanilla from years in the bourbon barrel. On the palate, a malt note, a medicinal edge, smoke.
