Description

Founded in 1983 at The Vaults in Leith, the Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottles single casks for its members. A 11 year old Laphroaig, from cask 29.298, this was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2024. in the Moss, mackerel and medicine range.

Eleven years in the bourbon cask lend vanilla to its peaty, maritime character.

Bottled undiluted at 58.3%, with vanilla and light oak from the ex-Bourbon. Smoke, salt and tar, medicinal to the last.
