Laphroaig 23 Years Old 1998 (SMWS 29.286)

Founded in 1983 at The Vaults in Leith, the Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottles single casks for its members. This 23 year old Laphroaig, from cask 29.286, came off the stills in 1998 and was bottled in 2021. in the Chateau du peatreek range.

Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso, twenty-three years carry its medicinal south-Islay peat.

Bottled undiluted at 55.3%, vanilla rises from the bourbon wood. It carries chocolate.
