Description

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society grew from a 1978 cask-sharing syndicate into the club founded in 1983 at The Vaults in Leith. Distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2019, this 21 year old Laphroaig, from cask 29.265 followed. in the Skippers and kippers range.

Twenty-one years in ex-Bourbon let the oak work Laphroaig's heavily peated, medicinal spirit.

Bottled at cask strength, 55.3%, the cask lends vanilla and a touch of honey. The smoke is tarry and medicinal, salt on the close.
