Laphroaig 19 Years Old 1998 (SMWS 29.229)

Founded in 1983 at The Vaults in Leith, the Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottles single casks for its members. This 19 year old Laphroaig, from cask 29.229, came off the stills in 1998 and was bottled in 2017., from the Harmonious balance range.

Nineteen years of ex-Bourbon soften its oily, tarry smoke.

At 55.2%, undiluted, the bourbon wood adds vanilla and light spice. It carries a fragrant note.
