Description

Murray McDavid, the independent founded in 1996 and now based at the former Coleburn distillery. The cask was filled in 2011 and bottled in 2025, a 13 year old Leapfrog, from cask 85290 / 91 / 92. in the Benchmark range. Leapfrog is Murray McDavid's wink of a name for teaspooned Laphroaig, a cask carrying a token spoonful of another malt so it cannot use the distillery name, bottled instead as a blended malt.

A bourbon barrel and thirteen years settle Laphroaig's heavily peated, medicinal spirit.

At its natural 54.4%, vanilla and coconut from the bourbon oak. It carries chocolate, honey, a dry sandy note, smoke, vanilla.
