La Maison du Whisky has been Paris's leading whisky house since 1956, a retailer and bottler with deep ties to Scotland and Japan. This 15 year old Laphroaig, from cask 8513, came off the stills in 1996 and was bottled in 2012., part of the Artist series.

Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon frame the tarry, iodine-laced spirit.

At 54.3%, undiluted, soft vanilla comes from the ex-Bourbon. The peat reads medicinal and oily, iodine cutting through.
