Description

Ian Macleod Distillers, the family firm behind Glengoyne and Tamdhu, bottles single casks under its Chieftain's and Dun Bheagan labels. This bottling is a 9 year old Laphroaig, from cask 4094, laid down in 1999 and drawn off in 2008. in the German Chieftain's Society Cask range.

From ex-Bourbon, nine years draw out Laphroaig's antiseptic, oily smoke.

Bottled at cask strength, 57.3%, vanilla and light oak from the ex-Bourbon. Tarry smoke and sea-salt, unmistakably south-shore Islay.
