Description

Fred Laing founded Douglas Laing in Glasgow in 1948, and the third generation runs it still. Filled in 2015 and bottled 2026, the whisky is a 10 year old Laphroaig, from cask DL 20727. in the Old Particular - The Islay Collection.

Matured in Tawny Port, ten years wrap the tarry, iodine-laced spirit in the cask's character.

Bottled undiluted at 48.4%, the tawny Port lends plum and a nutty sweetness. Brine, tar and a smoky medicinal depth carry it.
