Description

Fred Laing founded Douglas Laing in Glasgow in 1948, and the third generation runs it still. Distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2015, this 14 year old Laphroaig, from cask DL 10694 followed.

An ex-Bourbon cask and fourteen years shape the brine-soaked peat smoke.

At its natural 48.4%, the bourbon cask adds vanilla. It carries chocolate, fresh fruit, honey, a medicinal edge, an oily texture, old wood.
