Laphroaig 18 Years Old 1998 (Old Particular)

Douglas Laing has bottled single casks from its Glasgow base since Fred Laing founded the firm in 1948. This 18 year old Laphroaig came off the stills in 1998 and was bottled in 2017.

Eighteen years in ex-Bourbon let the oak work the tarry, iodine-laced spirit.

Bottled undiluted at 50%, the American oak gives a vanilla lift. It carries a mossy note, smoke, a kippery edge, leather, a medicinal edge.
