Williamson 10 Years Old BNSp (Brave New Spirits)

Brave New Spirits is a single-cask independent with a wide-ranging portfolio. This 10 year old Williamson was bottled in 2022, from the Whisky of Voodoo range. Williamson is the code for teaspooned Laphroaig: add a spoonful of another malt to the cask and it must be sold as a blended malt rather than under the distillery name. The name nods to Bessie Williamson, Laphroaig's mid-century owner.

Ten years in ex-Bourbon let the oak work its peaty, maritime character.

At 49.1%, undiluted, soft vanilla comes from the ex-Bourbon. Iodine, brine and peat smoke define the south-Islay style.
