Laphroaig 20 Years Old 1996 Cask #6580 (Adelphi)

Adelphi revived a historic Glasgow distilling name as a small independent bottler, hand-numbering its single casks. The cask was filled in 1996 and bottled in 2017, a 20 year old Laphroaig, from cask 6580., from the Limited range.

Matured in Oloroso, twenty years wrap its phenolic, medicinal smoke in the cask's character.

Bottled undiluted at 54.4%, the Oloroso adds figgy sweetness and walnut. It carries fresh fruit, a hay-like note, a malt note, a medicinal edge, a mossy note, new wood.
