Description

For 2016 the festival dram took a Madeira influence, the fortified wine bringing a candied, burnt-sugar sweetness to the smoke. A Càirdeas with a sweeter, richer accent.

Madeira lends candied citrus and a burnt-sugar tang against Laphroaig's medicinal peat.

At 51.6% the peat is smoky and medicinal, leather, tobacco, a coal-gas note and a sherried edge alongside. A Madeira festival Càirdeas.
