Laphroaig 10 Years Old (Older European Bottling)

An older European bottling of the flagship, from a period when the 10 carried a touch more sweetness than the modern release. The medicinal Laphroaig signature is all there, but honey and a nutty softness sit alongside it.

Ten years in ex-Bourbon gave the vanilla time to round out the smoke. The barley was heavily peated over Islay peat, as it has been at the distillery since the Johnston brothers founded it in 1815.

At 40% the smoke comes with a coal-gas mineral edge and a clear medicinal thread, the honey and vanilla marking it as a bottling from an earlier Laphroaig era.
