Thirty seven years of refill bourbon ageing produces a profile fundamentally driven by distillery character rather than active wood contribution. The cask's first fill vanillin already extracted under previous tenancy, the second life contribution is incremental and gentle, allowing Glenrothes' natural ester chemistry to lead.
