Zlatogor AK-47 Vodka comes from the Zlatogor distillery in Zolotonosha, Ukraine, a house known for its novelty bottle designs. This one is moulded in the shape of an AK-47, as much collector’s piece as drink. Made from grain alcohol and filtered several times, it is a mild, clean spirit at a gentle 38%.

Description
The Zlatogor distillery in Zolotonosha has built a name on striking bottle shapes, and the AK-47 edition is exactly that, a rifle-shaped bottle that doubles as a display piece. The liquid inside is a grain vodka filtered several times to remove the heavier compounds and leave a clear, stable spirit, then set at a soft 38%. The lower strength is deliberate: it keeps the vodka mild and approachable, with a light cereal base and little of its own to assert, which suits a spirit designed to be poured at a gathering as much as sipped.
The nose is subtle and cereal with a gentle freshness. The palate is mild, soft and balanced with a clear structure and a light grain base, and the finish is long, soft and clean. Because it is gentle and low-key, lean into a long, fresh serve: build a vodka tonic over ice with a generous wedge of lime and a few coins of fresh ginger, which lifts the mild grain and gives the drink a bit of bite without overpowering the spirit.
