Description
Yoichi 10 Years Old (LMDW) is a single malt from Nikka's Yoichi distillery in Hokkaido, bottled by La Maison du Whisky for the event market. The selection draws on a combination of bourbon barrels, new oak casks and sherry barrels, a broader cask mix than the standard Yoichi 10 and one that adds layers of dried fruit, toasted wood and mellow spice to the distillery's base character.
The sherry component lends sweetness and depth while the new oak introduces a firmer, more resinous edge, contrasting with the softer vanilla influence of the bourbon barrels. Across all three cask types, the distinctive weight and coastal smokiness of Yoichi's coal-fired stills anchors the profile, bottled at 45% and available through the La Maison du Whisky event channel.
